Preparation of surfaces for bonding.

The surfaces to be glued must be thoroughly cleaned of all kinds of dirt and dried before applying the glue. Smooth, glossy surfaces are recommended to be additionally abraded or etched.

Preparing the glue.

Before using the glue components, measure component A and component B in a 3: 1 ratio by weight, place in a clean glass or plastic container and mix thoroughly.

Glue application.

Epoglass 170 glue should be applied in a thin even layer with a brush to both bonding surfaces. On porous surfaces, it is recommended to apply 2-3 layers of glue with an interval of 5-10 minutes. The surfaces with the adhesive applied should be kept in air for at least 15 minutes for the solvent to evaporate. Then the surfaces to be glued are aligned and tightly and evenly pressed with a force of 1-5 kg / cm2, followed by heat treatment to cure the glue. Apply and dry the adhesive in a well-ventilated area. Removal of excess glue and rinsing of instruments can be carried out with ethyl acetate or acetone.

Curing of the adhesive.

The minimum curing temperature of the adhesive is 80 ° C. As the curing temperature rises, the duration of the procedure decreases. So, at 80 ° C it takes 1 hour, at 100 ° C - 30 minutes. The maximum characteristics of the glue are achieved during heat treatment at 80 ° C for 1 hour, followed by heat treatment at 180 ° C for 1 hour. The heat treatment time starts from the moment the glued components reach the specified temperature. It should be noted that the glue is highly fluid during the curing process, so excess glue must be removed.

Storage.

It is recommended to store the components of the glue in a hermetically sealed container in a dark place at a temperature of 18-23 ° C. The shelf life of the glue components is up to 12 months if the storage conditions are observed. The prepared glue is stored for 10 days. at 23 ° C and 1 month. at 2-6 ° C.
