In 1976 VEDA acquired license from HBM (Germany) for the production of strain gages and became the only full-cycle manufacturer of strain gages and load cells in USSR.

VEDA has successfully launched serial production of the TSWA load cell for onboard weighing. The sensor production technology was developed by VEDA technicians and tested on contracts with major agricultural machinery manufacturers. The TSWA strain gauge sensor can be used for weighing on board vehicles in various industries - from the agro-industrial complex to special quarry equipment.
A distinctive feature of VEDA sensors is a reinforced housing, designed for operation in unprepared regions in off-road conditions, which leads to excess loads on sensors and installation units.
